opps

Well, It has been a long while since I last posted. I apologize.

There have been a variety of projects completed since then, and a few photos to go along with them.

Spring keeps me out of the sewing room and out in the yard. We have 15 acres of land that is going through the organic certification process. We are almost completely certified, and with a large garden and lots of place to re-vamp with flower beds you can imagine that I do not get much time to sew. In the summer it becomes a rainy day activity which we have had lots of.... Still since we are also in the middle of a few remodeling projects in the house, I have plenty of other projects to spend time on. (May I recommend if you ever plan to re-finish your kitchen cabinets, pay someone if you have children. They do not find it fun or entertaining to watch or help sand cupboard doors for more than an hour. Ha!)

Anyway, I promise as I get more organized (the point of all the remodeling) and planting slows I will spend some time back posting those sewing projects, and when harvest season comes it will be ignored again. :)

Maternity Pants extender

My lovely sister made a request, and I aim to please. I hope this fits her needs. :)

Opps. I guess I forgot to take a picture at the end. Darn it. Well you get the idea.

Snow days ruffle skirt

Since we were snowed in for a couple days with wonderfully awesome weather, I decided to finish up another project that I ran across that I thought was to cute NOT to try. :) If you want to give it a shot yourself, here is the link to the tutorial over on Sew Much Ado.

So far I have not been lucky enough to catch my rugrats together long enough to photo them both wearing their concoctions but I will get one yet!

L'il leggings

Here are a pair of the leggings that I made for the girls. Something fun to run around in and get us all thinking about spring. (which is hopefully coming soon!)

Here is the link to the super easy tutorial I followed on Sew Much Ado

Wide binding blanket

Today I began the wide binding blanket for my niece. I have had a hard time with choosing a fabric to use, and really wish I had quilting experience to make a super cool quilt instead. Photos to come soon.

The lumpy.

I ran across this idea for a floor pillow here over at Living with Punks. I knew I had to make a few. At the time I had 2 daughters with a third on the way, and only one child size arm chair. I had decided that these would be perfect and allow me to get rid of the over-sized chair and still give each kid a comfy place to sit.

I am currently finishing up the third one. The older girls love them, carry them all over the house and have re-named them "the lumpy".

Watcha think?

Baby Jayden

I realized while leaving the last post that I have not posted the last 2 projects I completed and I need to catch up.... so here is the Baby Jayden set.

I hope is mommy and daddy love it because I think it is pretty cute.
